We've visited here an Electricity Supply Board peat-fired power station with a capacity of 150 megawatts, located a few kilometres downriver of Shannonbridge. After that, Harald and me cooked the Pike, we've caught in the morning near Shannonbridge. In the evening we had to go again to a pub here in Shannonbridge to enjoy Guiness, whiskey and lots of live music. Unfortunately it was a bit dark inside!! In 1995 I went on a trip to Ireland with my father, 2 friends and me and no female company!!! This was such a fantastic experience which will stay with me forever. First we flew to Limmerick where we took a bus to Portumna where we stepped on our boat from Emerald star boat rental. Here we received instructions how to handle the boat, not too difficult though. So we set sail to shannonbridge!!
